ABSTRACT

En la patogenia del nódulo tiroideo es necesario tener presente: 1. Su origen clonal, 2. El efecto de factores (diferentes de la TSH) que estimulan o inhiben el crecimiento de la célula folicular tiroidea, 3. La capacidad intrínsica de crecimiento de la célula folicular, 4. La heterogeneidad existente entre crecimiento y función de diferentes áreas de un bocio y entre bocios de diferentes individuos, lo que implica la necesidad de continuar desarrollando estudios para controlar los factores auto y paracrinos en el crecimiento del tejido tiroideo, y reevaluar la utilidad clínica del tratamiento con hormonas tiroideas en dosis inhalatorias para la secreción de TSH, así como de la cirugía conservadora en los bocios multinodulares.


In the pathogenie of the thyroid node is necessary to keep in mind: 1. Its clonal origin, 2. The effects of factors (different of the TSH) that stimulate or inhibit the growth of the thyroid cell, 3. The capacity [intrinsic] of growth of the folicular cell, 4. The existent heterogeneity between growth and function in several areas of a goiter and between goiters of several individuals, everything which implies the necessity of continuing developing studies in order to control the factors auto and paracrines in the growth of the thyroid tissue and reevaluate the clinical utility of the treatment with thyroid hormones in inhibitory doses for the secretion of TSH, as well as the conservative surgery in multinodulars goiters.
